Mr. Andrea SENATORI

Since January 2021, Mr.Andrea Senatori has been Director of the Regional Office of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in Tunis, covering Tunisia, Libya, Morocco and Algeria. Mr. Senatori previously worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate General for Development Cooperation, from 1990 to 2020, where he held a number of positions: 1) Coordinator of the Emergencies and Fragile States Office [2016-2020] ; 2) Director of the AICS office in Tirana, Albania (until 31.12.2015 Director of the Local Technical Unit – UTL Tirana), also responsible for Kosovo [2012 – 2016] ; 3) Technical coordinator for bilateral humanitarian aid and focal point for countries in situations of fragility [2009 – 2012] ; 4) Director of the Addis Ababa Local Technical Unit (UTL) of the Italian Cooperation in Ethiopia [2004 – 2008] ; 5) Senior Specialist for Environment and Water Resources Management – North Africa, Middle East and Balkans [2001-2004] ; 6) Deputy Director of the Local Technical Unit of Italian Cooperation in Eritrea [1996-2001] ; 7) Water Supply and Sanitation Specialist – Sub-Saharan Africa [1990-1996]. Mr Senatori has also worked as a UNDP associate expert in Cape Verde and as a technical and scientific consultant for an engineering company.
