Prior to his appointment on 22 September 2023 as Chairman and CEO of STEG, Faycel TARIFA was Central Director of Electricity Transmission Networks at STEG. In parallel with his work as manager at STEG and thanks to his expertise acquired in the field of transport and distribution of electrical energy, Faycel TARIFA has managed a number of projects in African countries for the construction of transformer substations (AIS and GIS) and HVB lines. He was also a trainer on the operation of substation equipment and HV and MV lines and the operation and management of the electrical system. Faycel TARIFA is an engineer with a degree in electricity from ENIS (Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieur de Sfax) in 1988, followed by a post-graduate diploma (DEA) in signal processing and telecommunications from ENIT (Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieur de Tunis) in 2016. An alumnus of Dauphine/IAE (formerly the Sorbonne), he obtained his International MBA (Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, International Economics, Information Systems, Lean Management, Intercultural, etc.) in 2015.
